Few days ago, i was update my web server (using freeBSD 6.2) for security reason. Almost all aplication in this server finish for upgrading now, except mysql. I am not upgrade it because mysql not install from port collection. I install manual from source. so i still use my old mysql now. I will upgrade it later.I am afraid all database broken and all sites in web server down. Because i am not upgrade on site but remote. I am so far away with my server.
oke lets write down step by step for upgrading. ( i hope its usefull for me and everyone)

Shit… my mail server error again? what the problem now??? when i check in message log, i found the same error like before Socket file /tmp/clamd.socket exists. Either remove it, or configure a different one. why it happen twice??? its very dangerous.
I think If I do the same like before , it will show error again, why??
Hmm… so I check the history in my log message. Based on Log message, My mailserver has unclean shutdown.I think My friend Tomy( Engineer NOC on site) has reboot phisically ( i dont know why, I will ask him later). But why if My mail server unclean shutdown, the clamd socket getting error?? Its never happen before.
So i check again in my clamd.conf. well i found this line:

today, my holiday disturb by error in my mail server. someone call me that he cant sending and recieve email from my webmail. here is the error message in webmail:

Requested action aborted: error in processing 451 qq temporary problem (#4.3.0).

okey, my first step is checking in my message log. i found this error:

Socket file /tmp/clamd.socket exists. Either remove it, or configure a different one

hmm…. something wrong with my clamd.then i remove file /tmp/clamd.socket.And i reboot my mail server.
i check in my log messages, no error messages. so i try to sending email under webmail. it can send and recieve mail clearly.wuih… finnally… i can continue my holiday. hehehehe…. solution only remove clamd.socket file.
